  • Must be applying to the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program for the first time.

  • Are not currently enrolled at Sciences Po.

  • Are not currently enrolled in, or graduated from, a French higher education institution.


Required Documents for Sciences Po Mastercard Foundation Scholarship


The following documents are required when applying for a postgraduate admission in Sciences Po:


  • Curriculum Vitae (CV).

  • Official academic transcript.

  • Translation of all academic transcript (English / French depending on your course).

  • Proof of undergraduate cumulative grade average.

  • Motivation Letter (English / French depending on your course).

  • Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge, Duolingo English Test (optional).

  • Proof of French language proficiency (TCF, Delf) (optional).

Language Requirements of Sciences Po Mastercard Foundation Scholarship


The Sciences Po Mastercard foundation scholarship requires both French and English language. Depending on your course you may need to present French ( TCF and DELF) or English (TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge, Linguaskill or Duolingo) test result as language proficiency.


Language exemptions are granted to students who studied entirely in English or French for at least two years without interruption, within a single degree program.


Also applicants with a high school diploma with French / English as their language of instruction may be exempt from submitting a separate language proficiency test. Other applicants with a baccalauréat, International Baccalaureate (IB), English /French levels A only, European Baccalaureate with English / French at level L1 only, and GCE with a minimum of 3 subjects from an official organization (such as AQA, Cambridge, Edexcel Pearson etc.) can all apply.
